Thanatopsis at Home

by Corey Mesler

Corpo di Bacco

At 8 a.m.
the
eclipsing shadow
of a
passing plane
seems
a harpy,
a harbinger
of
death,
this morning
alone
in the den,
no one else
yet
awake.
